Kindergartners from Northside Elementary School gather Monday to look and feel the coupling on the caboose at Frisco Park in Rogers. The Rogers Historical Museum presented the lesson as the kids went on a walking tour from the school to the museum and the park. They received a short history lesson on trains, including the caboose, before getting the opportunity to explore the interior.

Twenty, $25,000 grants were awarded to teachers to incorporate more technology-based teaching in the classroom. Next year’s grant recipients will be announced Friday.
