Activities included bird songs, music and family fun. The World Peace Wetland Prairie seeks to preserve a remnant of Northwest Arkansas’ once abundant wetland prairie ecosystem. It was created as a partnership between the city of Fayetteville, Audubon Arkansas, the OMNI Center, the Fayetteville Natural Heritage Association and Town Branch Neighborhood Association.

The North Shore Animal League has been hosting a mobile adoption event for 13 years and teamed up with the Fayetteville Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of the Ozarks to provide an opportunity for local animals to be adopted on site. Animals from the Fayetteville Animal Shelter were available for adoption for $10. The mobile adoption tour stopped in north Little Rock on Saturday and will continue on and stop in Joplin, Mo., on Thursday.
