KATE CAMPBELL — A child of the South — and also a Baptist preacher — Kate Campbell has been playing for years but only began recording her songs in 1995. Since that time, she has recorded several albums on which her lyrics have earned her comparisons to Flannery O’Connor and William Faulkner. Campbell visits Fayetteville for a show tonight at the Fayetteville Underground, located on the southwest corner of the square. Admission to her 8 p.m. show is $20. (Photo courtesy Michael Wilson)
