Johnny Glantz of Rogers, a Beaver Lake fishing guide, knots a partially-inflated balloon on Friday March 22 2013 before taking customers striped-bass fishing on the lake near Prairie Creek park. Glantz uses the balloons as bobbers by fixing them to his fishing lines. Fishing for stripers has been good in the Prairie Creek area recently, Glantz said, with several between 20 and 30 pounds brought to his boat. For bait, Glantz uses shad that he catches himself from the lake.
