Hallie Hairston, right, a volunteer with Horses for Healing, loads up Jonne Lou Maness’ dish with pulled pork Saturday during the people’s choice competition at Pig Trail Harley-Davidson on West Hudson Road in Rogers during the annual Smokin’ in the Ozarks event. The barbecue event hosted a Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned competition and a people’s choice competition. There were 16 teams in the people’s choice pulled pork competition and 34 in the KCBS event. Proceeds from the event benefit Camp Corral and Horses for Healing.
