Keisha Hickman, above from left, Juan Gonzalez and Celina Bustamante, all from Springdale High School’s engineering and architecture academy work Thursday morning on the robot that will be entered in the “Ultimate Ascent” competition. The robot will be required to climb and launch flying discs. The competition is part of the Razorback Regional FIRST Robotics Competition in Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville. The three day competition has more than 40 school participating from Arkansas and surrounding states.
