The aroma of grilled and barbecued meats tickled the noses of hundreds of barbecue fans Saturday during the National BBQ Tour Championship held at the Sam’s Club offices along Moberly Lane in Bentonville. Fifty teams of competitors competed for a portion of the $500,000 prize money in the event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, the world’s largest barbecue group. Many teams offered free samples to promote their sponsors.
