Mark Hutton of Springdale, right, a pilot, explains a device that warns pilots in the event their airplane stalls to Young Eagles participants Mikaela Phillips, 16, of Prairie Grove, left, and Cade Melton, 9, of Springdale on Saturday before taking them both flying at Fayetteville Executive Airport. Young Eagles is a national program, organized locally by the Experimental Aircraft Association made up of local pilots and assisted by the Civil Air Patrol, that exposes young people to aircraft, the airport, flying and pilots twice a year in the area. The next event will be in the spring.
