Students pass a beach ball during their lunch break Tuesday at NorthWest Arkansas Community College during the Learning, Improvement, Fun and Empowerment program. The three-day program provides high school students, primarily of Hispanic or Marshallese backgrounds, with the knowledge and encouragement to seek out higher education opportunities. The program, sponsored by NWACC, is in its second year.
