Phillip Gabler, right, Mackenzie Lea and Shelby Carrothers, all lifeguards for Fayetteville’s Parks and Recreation Department, clean the bottom of the Wilson Pool on Friday at Wilson Park in Fayetteville. The pool opens for the season at 4 p.m. June 7. Admission that day is free. The opening day will also kick off the annual Dive-In Movie Series, which is sponsored by the Fayetteville Firefighters Association, with a showing of “Madagascar 3.” Movies are free, open to the public and begin at sunset. After June 7, admission is $2 for children 15 and younger, and $3 for adults.
