Bill Rogers recently celebrated 30 years as senior pastor of Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonville. For most of the first decade Rogers didn’t collect a paycheck for his work at the church, which was experiencing financial trouble. “I had a good job, so I didn’t mind,” he said. Rogers was manager of Fulton Sanitation in Rogers. “I used to help people get trash out of their homes, now I help people get trash out of their lives,” he said.
