Natalie Freeman, left, program coordinator for Apple Seeds, helps Root Elementary School Garden Club members Zach Bredeson and Isabelle Suttle, both 9-year-old thirdgraders, to sell vegetables Thursday at the school in Fayetteville. The garden club is organized by Apple Seeds, a nonprofit organization promoting healthy eating habits and sustainable growing practices at area schools. The produce sold at the market was grown by students at the school with other items donated for the sale by local growers.
