A large storage building was crushed against a light pole Friday as a storm rolled through at Mid America Storage Buildings in Bethel Heights. Strong, but localized storms passed through Bethel Heights Friday afternoon. Tom Pennington, dealer at Mid America, said he was in his office on the site when he saw something that looked like a small tornado, about the size of a truck, pass through the lot. It destroyed two buildings, forcing one into the road and turning another onto its side. The storm moved across the road and went south to the 71B Auto Auction doing damage there and along the way.
