Christian Hunt, center, and Kali Erksin, right, third-graders at Bentonville’s Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, work with Nina Prater, Fayetteville’s Solid Waste and Recycling Energy Corp member, as they make a bed for wildflower seeds Tuesday morning at the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. The station was part of the activities to celebrate Earth Day at the garden. More than 1,800 students from seven area schools from kindergarten through fifth grade participated in the event at the garden.
