Audrey Grothe of Bella Vista experiments with oil pastels on watercolor paper Sunday at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville during an open drawing session. Grothe, primarily a watercolor artist, has never worked with oil pastels and decided to give them a try while at the museum. Twice a month, one Wednesday evening and one Sunday afternoon, guests have the opportunity to draw by observation using a variety of mediums provided by the museum. Drop-in drawing sessions are free. Interested participants can check scheduled dates on the museum’s calendar online at www.crystalbridges.org.
