Deborah Coody, from left, Maryevelyn Jones and Nancy Garner, all Fayetteville residents, join dozens of other concerned citizens as they prepare signs to protest a permit that the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality has issued to C&H Hog Farm, which is under construction on a tributary of Big Creek. The tributary feeds into the Buffalo River. A protest will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday on the corner of Garland and Maple in Fayetteville.
