Paintings by Rogers artist Robert Lee Skaggs, right, catch the eye of his nephew, Joe Skaggs, left, during a reception Tuesday for the artist at CW Gallery of Fine Art at 210 S. First St., in downtown Rogers. The two look at the painting, “Country Road, Four Seasons,” which captures each season in a multipanel painting. Skaggs, 85, is a 1952 graduate of The Art Institute of Chicago, was born in Rogers and has lived in the city most of his life. He’s inspired by scenes of nature for his paintings, which will be on display and for sale at the gallery through April 27, said Colette White, gallery owner.
