Benton County Judge Bob Clinard read a proclamation declaring the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month at the 12th annual Step Up for Justice rally at David Peel Park in Bentonville. Natalie Tibbs, assistant director and nurse at the Child Advocacy Center said in 2012, there were 432 confirmed cases of child abuse in Benton County. Each pinwheel represents a child who was victim to abuse.
