A three-toed box turtle draws the attention of Barbara Zalenski, from left, Shae Zalenski and Payton Wright on Wednesday during a program at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area near Rogers. Students on spring break and adults learned about turtles from Steve Chyrchel, an interpretive naturalist at Hobbs. The turtles are so named because of three toes on their hind feet. They have five toes on their front feet. Females have brown eyes and males have red eyes, Chyrchel said. Their life expectancy is 60 to 100 years.
