Randy Bond of Elkins unloads brush Saturday at Fayetteville’s Compost Facility after cleaning up around his home after last week’s storms. “I was fortunate, more fortunate than my neighbors,” Bond said. The facility, at 1708 S. Armstrong Ave., is open the first Saturday of the month from November through March and the first two Saturdays from April through October from 8 a.m. to noon and every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents with a water bill can drop off yard waste and tree trimmings for free.
