Sara Steinlage roasts caterpillars in Mpomgwe, Zambia, during a 12-day trip showcasing Heifer International projects in Kenya and Zambia. Other local chores included hauling water, collecting goat manure to dry as fertilizer and roasting peanuts and pounding them into peanut butter. The caterpillars had little taste, but were quite crunchy, Steinlage said.
