Javareus McClurge, left, hands Garrett Grisso a s’mores dessert after Grisso purchased it Monday during a mini market held by sixth-graders at McNair Middle School in Fayetteville. The event is part of a sixth-grade class called 21st Century Skills, which is studying global economics. Students learned how to sell items they made, using play money. The mini market gave students a taste of what running a business is like. Students had to budget for rent and utilities, track expenses, maintain an inventory and learn how to make a profit.
