Parade floats make their way around the Fayetteville square Saturday during the annual lighting ceremony and parade to mark the beginning of the annual Lights of the Ozarks display. The Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department installed about 450,000 lights in the trees and plantings around the square that will remain lit nightly through Dec. 31. The parade was organized by the University of Arkansas Hospitality Management students with support from the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau while the Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission coordinates and promotes the other activities during the duration of the display.
